A senior official stated on Monday (June 17) that a recruitment drive for more than 1,100 constables in the Thane, Palghar, MBVV (Mira-Bhayandar, Vasai-Virar), and Navi Mumbai police units will begin on June 19.
According to the official, we have received 8,423 applications for the 231 constable posts in the Mira Bhayander Vasai Virar police unit. Of those applications, 6,900 were from men and 1,523 were from women.
“We have 38,078 applications for 661 positions in Thane. Men make up 30,155 and women make up 7,923 of these applicants. Additionally, 1,408 male and 119 female applicants have submitted 1,527 applications for 20 driver positions. We have 3,577 applications for 59 positions in Palghar,” the official stated.
According to him, 5,984 people from Navi Mumbai, including 4,622 men and 1,362 women, have applied for 185 constable positions. The application process also includes interviews, written tests, and physical tests.
